With the recent and significant increase by 27% in its Impact Factor, in the last version of the Journal of Citation Reports (JCR), the Arquivos Brasileiros de Cardiologia (ABC Cardiol), official journal of the Brazilian Cardiology Society (SBC), is currently the publication with the highest impact in Cardiology in Brazil and Latin America. Hence, it naturally draws growing interest of national and international authors, aiming at greater visibility of their research in a platform indexed at the major global databases. However, the acceptance rate, limited by the large volume of submissions, is less than 20%.
Within this context, the Journal of Transcatheter Interventions was given the possibility of transferring submission of manuscripts not published by ABC Cardiol that correlate to our scope; i.e., texts on percutaneous intervention in cardiopathies (involving or not the coronary arteries), peripheral and cerebrovascular diseases, as well as those exploring the pharmacological, pathophysiological and diagnostics aspects related to percutaneous intervention in cardiovascular diseases.
