The Journal of Transcatheter Interventions adopts the rules for publication established in the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals: Writing and Editing for Biomedical Publication.

The texts and tables should be edited in Word, presented Portuguese or English, in Arial size 12, with double spacing between lines, top and bottom margins of 2.5 cm, and right and left margins of 3 cm. The number of words and references should not exceed that recommended for each category of article.

Only manuscripts not submitted to other journals and/or not previously published, except abstracts with less than 400 words, will be considered for review.

Titles

The full title and a short title should be provided for the article, only in the language the manuscript was written.

Inclusion of time or geographic characteristics of the study is not recommended in the titles.

Authorship

Authorship of the manuscripts should be based on: (1) conception and design of the study; (2) data collection; (3) data analysis and interpretation; (4) writing of the article or its critical intellectual revision; (5) responsibility for approval of the final version to be published. All authors are obliged to assure that issues related to precision or integrity of any part of the work can be duly investigated and determined.

Participations that do not satisfy these criteria should be listed in the Acknowledgments item.

The inclusion or exclusion of names of authors during the review process may be made only after approval of the editor, and with the consent signature of all authors. Such changes are not allowed after approval of the article.

Inform the affiliation of each author and the organization to which the present work should be attributed, informing faculty/department, city, state and the country of this organization.

One of the authors should be the corresponding author, and will be in charge of the whole process of production of the article (possible corrections, approvals, etc.), as well as of the correspondences after publication. The e-mail and address of the corresponding author must be provided – we always suggest providing organizational data to be published.

Orcid

Upon submission of the material, include the Orcid of each author.

It is important that the name format in the manuscript be the same registered at Orcid. We also suggest keeping data in the public mode at Orcid registry.

Lattes

For Brazilian, it is mandatory to indicate the link to access each authors’s CV on Lattes Platform (https://lattes.cnpq.br). We recommend to keep the data always updated in this CV.

Abstract

In general, the abstract is the second most read part of the text, after the title. Therefore, it is essential the abstract includes the main topics of the study.

It should present a brief overview of the current state of the topic addressed, together with the objectives, methods used to conduct the research, the main results obtained, and a conclusion.

Only the abstract of an Original Article should be structured as introduction, results, methods and conclusion.

Do not forget to select three to five keywords, according to the Health Sciences Descriptors.

Acknowledgments

These may be made to people who collaborated with the project intellectually, provided they do not satisfy the requirements for participating as authors of the manuscript, and have no links with the organizations that may have offered financial and/or logistic support. The individuals mentioned should send a letter authorizing the inclusion of their names in that section (due to possible implication in the endorsement of data and conclusions). Written consent is not necessary if the acknowledgments are to be made to members of the work team. They should have, at most, 50 words.

References

The authors are responsible for providing accurate references. We recommend that the references are up to 5 years of publication.

The citations should be identified with superscript Arabic numerals in ascending order, in the text, as per the Vancouver requirements established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE ).

Personal communications, abstracts and oral presentations in conferences are not accepted as citations.

All references should present the doi. If the doi is not available, the PMID should be included.
